FAQs

Tree Services FAQs

  • Do I need to be present during the tree service?

No, you do not need to be present for any of our tree services. The only time you need to be present is if we cannot access the property without you letting us onto the property.

  • How often should I prune my trees?

The exact pruning schedule will depend on the tree species, age, size, and location. Some trees need to be pruned yearly, while most should be pruned every 3-4 years.

  • Do I need a permit for tree removal?

In general, yes, you will need a permit to remove a tree. However, if the tree is less than 4.5 feet, you do not need a permit to remove it. When we perform the tree removal for you, our contractors will obtain all the necessary permits.

  • Why is pruning my tree necessary?

Pruning your tree is a necessary part of tree maintenance. It helps keep disease, fungi, and other types of decay from spreading, improves airflow, and keeps the tree healthy.

  • When is the best time to prune a tree?

The best time to prune a tree is during its dormant season or mid- to late winter. The lack of leaves makes it easier to identify branches and limbs for removal. Pruning during dormancy also promotes growth when the warm weather begins.

  • How long does a tree removal take?

The exact time it will take to remove a tree will depend on the height, diameter, and location of the tree. It usually takes a few hours to remove a tree. Generally, the larger the tree, the longer it will take to remove.
